Dragonfly Confocal Imaging System

Dragonfly is a high-contrast multi-dimensional imaging platform capable of four key imaging modalities. With its high speed and low phototoxicity and photobleaching, it is optimal for live cell imaging.

Available imaging modes:

  • Multi-point confocal for high-speed and high-sensitivity imaging
  • Super-resolution, which can leverage a variety of techniques to push the resolution beyond the diffraction limit: GPU-accelerated deconvolution; SRRF-Stream+, DNA-PAINT and dSTORM
  • Total Internal Reflection Fluorescence (TIRF) microscopy for imaging protein dynamics at or proximal to the cell membrane and single molecule imaging
  • Laser-illuminated widefield epifluorescence for applications that require high laser power

The combination of Andor’s Dragonfly and Fusion software provide unparalleled access to super-resolution techniques to image beyond the diffraction limit of optical microscopy.

Dragonfly acquires the full dynamic range of signals in a single acquisition. Dragonfly therefore speeds and simplifies visualization and quantitative analysis of such microscopic data e.g. gene expression levels.

Benefits:

  • Minimal phototoxicity
  • High imaging speed and performance
  • Large, uniform field of view
  • Integrated, easy-to-use software
  • High flexibility of imaging, magnification and illumination modes
