Cooperation with Warsaw Genomics

In the last months we have completed a very interesting project for the Warsaw Genomics company. Our common goal was designing and creating a fitted laboratory stand for tubes.

After a short brainstorming session and understanding the customer’s needs, we have started the production process.

Optimization workshops

The model we developed consists of thirteen separate elements forming a whole that prints for a total of 15 hours and 24 minutes. For printing, we used Ecoline PLA Dark Blue material from the Polish manufacturer print-me, and the prints were made on Sygnis Flashforge Guider II printers. The design itself did not have many obstacles, so we decided to add a user-friendly detail – the Warsaw Genomics logo.

Due to the fact that we had full control over the design and printing process of this model, we adapted it to the specificity of 3D printing and divided it into flat segments. As a result, we have significantly reduced the production time of a single holder, splitting its printout into several printers. In addition, the division of the print into segments allowed to reduce to zero the consumption of support material that would be necessary in the case of printing the whole element. We were able to cover the cost of the production product, which translated into less expenditure on the client’s side and enabled the use of branded company logos and outstanding in the laboratory environment.

Question and answer

Despite these changes at the production stage, the whole is rigid and much more stable than standard and smaller laboratory racks. This is due to the appropriate matching of components. When Warsaw Genomics came to us, they needed a compact element that would increase the convenience of employees, limiting the number of test tube holders they use. As a result of our cooperation, they obtained a branded solution that fulfills the function they expect at a very competitive price.

The Warsaw Genomics team is made of doctors and scientists whose main mission is to develop and deliver highly sensitive and accurate evidence-based genetic tests.

Applying cutting-edge genetic analysis tools and our proprietary algorithms, we search for genetic errors, responsible for human diseases.
