In 2017, there were just a few of us. Today, we work in teams of over seventy specialists in total.
Each of us is an expert in their field of interest. Together, we are a well-coordinated team that solves technological problems and creates groundbreaking manufacturing methods.
We invite you to view the profiles of key figures at Sygnis!
Andrzej Burgs is a graduate of the Faculty of Physics at the University of Warsaw, specializing in Econophysics. For over a decade he has been operating in the 3D printing industry, running one of the longest operating Polish companies in this area – Sygnis SA.
He is a 3D printing expert with many years of experience. He is one of the founders of the Chamber of Commerce of Industry 4.0 and a co-creator of the Code of Ethics of the Polish 3D Printing Industry. He also acts as an expert – employer of the Polish Accreditation Committee. Experienced speaker and qualified trainer. Under his aegis, Sygnis has become the Deloitte Fast 50 Technology Central and Eastern Europe laureate and received, inter alia, Special Book of Lists 2019/2020 “Pioneer in New Technologies” award, EuroSymbol of Innovation 2019, nomination for the Polish Intelligent Development Award 2019, nomination for Innovation Architects of Puls Biznesu in 2018, as well as a very good rating in the Innovation Health Check conducted by Enterprise Europe Network. Sygnis was also included in the Deloitte Technology Fast50 Central Europe 2021 ranking.
Andrzej Burgs supervises and coordinates research and development works. He works closely with scientists and science popularizers, promoting pro-scientific attitudes and implementing innovative solutions to research institutes and educational institutions.
Grzegorz Kaszyński has 15 years of experience in the implementation of scientific and research equipment from manufacturers from around the world. He has completed dozens of installations of high-tech devices in research institutions. He started in 2007 with running his own business, which since 2013 focused on introducing the latest solutions in the field of nanotechnology and biotechnology to the Polish market. Currently, as a co-owner and VP Sales at Sygnis, he is responsible not only for the sale of specialist equipment, but also for mentoring new start-ups within Sygnis.
For many years, he has been working closely with biomedical start-ups in EPFL Lausanne, Oxford and Boston. As an expert in 3D bioprinting, he has repeatedly implemented this technology in research groups in Poland, not only providing equipment, but also conducting training and application support. In 2017, he was the first in Poland to start cooperation with the Swedish start-up Cellink (now BICO Company), which in 2020 achieved the status of a unicorn, and is now a world leader in bioconvergence.
Dr Olga Czerwińska
Doctor in Physics from the University of Warsaw, who defended her doctoral thesis in theoretical particle physics and cosmology. She has experience in conducting scientific research, educating students and organizing scientific conferences of national and international scope. She is the author of scientific articles published in international journals and an experienced speaker with dozens of conference presentations to her credit.
Since 2018, as Chief Scientific Officer at Sygnis, she manages research and development projects and works on their commercialization. Dr. Olga Czerwinska is an expert in grant management and EU fundraising. She is responsible for obtaining funding for two Sygnis proprietary projects, SYGBIO and SYGPAST.
Olga is one of the co-founders of the Warsaw branch of Women in 3D Printing, an organization that promotes, supports and inspires women working in the additive manufacturing sector. She is also a mentor in the Entrepreneurial Women’s Network since 2022.
He has many years of experience in designing for industry, science and broadly understood industrial design. In his work, he is not limited only to 3D printing. He creates models profiled for injection molds, vacuum casting and several other techniques used in the ceramics and jewelry industry. His portfolio includes projects for the Polish army, the University of Warsaw and companies such as Johnson Electric and Bacardi. Maciej is a laureate of Polish and international design competitions: 2017 Glassberries Design Award, 2017 Siemens Future Living Award and 2017 Plastpol Award.
Maciej Głowacki also won the main prize in the competition for jewelery inspired by the products of the ORNO cooperative, organized by the Museum of Warsaw. The series of “Anemone” rings he has created is inspired by the complexity of forms created by nature, and the shape of each piece is unique, because it is handled by an algorithm that directs the growth of the ring around established geometric shapes.
He has been working at Sygnis since 2017. He is responsible for managing the production team which is also involved in 3D scanning and machine maintenance. Piotr also deals with the preparation and implementation of specialized training courses covering various additive technologies, 3D scanning and learning to use CAD/CAM software. His experience in this field is confirmed by several hundred successful implementations of 3D printing for companies and institutions, during which customers have gained the ability to efficiently and independently work with 3D printers.
He has also been involved in projects developing technologies for manufacturing electrical wires based on carbon nanomaterials for use in textronics (mainly screen printing, nanotubes, composite pastes) and designing and manufacturing a wirelessly controlled robot adapted to knightly duels – a lance, shield and movement mechanism or designing and selecting components for an orchid irrigation control system together with the presentation of 3D models.
In his Master’s thesis he combined 3D printing with thermoforming and fabrication of conductive paths based on composite pastes in a screen printing process to produce electronics on the enclosures. The main ideas were miniaturization, automation, and cost reduction. In addition, he designed PCBs, 2D linear table module and linear drive assembly, programmed microcontrollers and worked with various manufacturing technologies.
A finance expert with many years of experience. A graduate of the University of Finance and Management. For over ten years she has been gaining experience on positions in controlling and financial audit departments.
Skills acquired in the corporate structures of Colgate – Palmolive company, where international environment opened the door to her further development and brought many ideas for herself.
