Maciej Głowacki
Graduate of the Faculty of Design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, he previously studied Nanostructure Engineering, a macro-course at the Faculties of Physics and Chemistry at the University of Warsaw. He has received scholarships in both fields. The background of scientific education allows him to maintain an analytical approach in his design work.
Since 2014, he has been gaining professional experience working for the Polish deeptech company Sygnis SA. As Chief Designer (since 2017) and then Chief Design Officer, he created and leads the Company’s Design Department, implementing topics in industrial design, 3D modelling, visual communication, 2D design or UX/UI design.
He has many years of experience in designing for industry, science and a full spectrum of product design applications. He has designed and/or supervised projects for most of the existing manufacturing technologies, both custom one-off designs as well as those implemented for mass production. His portfolio includes design projects for, among others: the Polish Armed Forces, the University of Warsaw and companies such as Johnson Electric, Displate and Bacardi.
Winner of numerous Polish and international design competitions, including: 2022 Prototypes for Humanity Dubai, 2022 MakeMe!, 2022 James Dyson Award, 2022 Agrafa, Design32 2022, Main Product Award at the 13th 3D Printing Days 2021, 2017 Glassberries Design Award, 2017 Siemens Future Living Award and 2017 Plastpol Award.

Piotr Piskorski
He has been working at Sygnis since 2017. He is responsible for managing the production team which is also involved in 3D scanning and machine maintenance. Piotr also deals with the preparation and implementation of specialized training courses covering various additive technologies, 3D scanning and learning to use CAD/CAM software. His experience in this field is confirmed by several hundred successful implementations of 3D printing for companies and institutions, during which customers have gained the ability to efficiently and independently work with 3D printers.
He has also been involved in projects developing technologies for manufacturing electrical wires based on carbon nanomaterials for use in textronics (mainly screen printing, nanotubes, composite pastes) and designing and manufacturing a wirelessly controlled robot adapted to knightly duels – a lance, shield and movement mechanism or designing and selecting components for an orchid irrigation control system together with the presentation of 3D models.
In his Master’s thesis he combined 3D printing with thermoforming and fabrication of conductive paths based on composite pastes in a screen printing process to produce electronics on the enclosures. The main ideas were miniaturization, automation, and cost reduction. In addition, he designed PCBs, 2D linear table module and linear drive assembly, programmed microcontrollers and worked with various manufacturing technologies.
